Resource Centre for Small Business

Entrepreneurial drive and spirit are hallmarks of the B.C. culture. This is represented in the fact that 98 per cent of all businesses in the province are small businesses, employing over one million people.  Our province’s competitiveness as a place to live, invest and do business is dependent on enhancing and supporting our entrepreneurs.

If you are looking to plan, start, finance, grow or exit your small business in British Columbia you can find the information you need in one convenient location, click here to get started.

The Small Business Branch works closely with other governments, ministries and private-sector organizations to implement the Action Plan for Small Business.  The action plan is designed to break down barriers to doing business in the province though programs such as the Mobile Business Licence, BizPaL and Building Skills for Small Business.
